The Buying Process

Be Prepared:  Start gathering important financial documents needed to apply for a loan, including:

  • Recent pay stubs

  • Bank and Credit Card account statements

  • Loan information on vehicles, boats, etc.

  • Tax returns for the previous two years

  • Financial statements

Monitor Your Spending:  Buying a home is one of the largest purchases in your lifetime.  It is not the time to make large purchases or change jobs which can negiatively effect your ability to purchase a home.

Check your credit score:  This important number can effect the price of home you qualify for and the interest rate you will pay.

Obtain a pre-approval letter:  This letter states the maximum home loan amount you qualify for and is helpful to use to target homes in your price range before showing properties.   Contact your lender, or if you are relocating from outside Florida, Roberta can provide you with a list of reputable local lenders.
